They prepared a 'deconstructed' fish finger sandwich for my picky eater daughter as she won't eat the bread but wanted to eat the fish fingers. Excellent service

I visited North wales to visit my sister/brother in law and we both needed a nice lunch out. Today we choose well in Machynlleth village. Parking is available in the high street, Look at restrictions times, Parking in Co-op is easier, free for 2 hours with a shopping trip. Machynlleth village is a lovely historical town, lovely old buildings with lots of history. The Caffi Glyndwr was quite busy today I ordered our meal at the cashier desk at the front. No table service per say. Food/service is brought to your table. I was offered accomplishments with my welsh rabbit and unfortunately my sister was given a different bread upon request, nevertheless we didn't complain. We were served with a nice big pot of tea and our meals were of a good portion size. My sisters soup was hot and delicious and my welsh rabbit was delicious with a salad garnish with extra accomplishments. The restaurant itself was warm, decorated nicely Customer toilets upstairs were very nice in the surrounding historical building. The price of our meals were quite reasonable which would attract more customers I would feel A view of landscape leaving North Wales, on to my next destination

You have to come to this place. Food is great, staff are lovely. Place is nicely decorated, clean, with plenty of seating inside and out. Children and dog friendly. Vegetarian options on the menu. There were plenty of people in the café while we were there (a good sign), but it didn't feel crowded at all The food is absolutely lovely! We had cauliflower cheese soup, apple and cinnamon soup, and fishfinger sandwich, followed by a vanilla custard slice and a gooseberry cheesecake. We all tried each others meals. All were sublime One of the staff asked if the food was OK at the end of the meal. I said it wasn't just ok, it was fantastic. She replied they do simple homecooked food. Homecooked it might be. Simple it isn't. The food really is lovely. Thank you, very much

What a great café in a beautiful building. The food was delicious, quick service. I ordered a Welsh rarebit, and was charmingly coerced into having the salad, as "...it would look a bit bare with out it." The atmosphere is great, a lot of local people, which is always a good sign, and the staff are just wonderful. Chatty, smiley and well-dressed. The premises are clean, the prices reasonable and the service efficient.

We made a detour here on our way to Snowdonia as so few places are open on a Monday. Well worth the trip. Gorgeous building steeped in history, friendly staff (and customers!) and a delightful Welsh rarebit. Super tasty - the bread was gorgeous, am guessing made on site? Toilets are clean, but up some narrow stairs, so may be tricky for those who struggle with their mobility. Meal: Lunch (x2 mains, x1 soft, x1 tea) Covers: 2 Cost: ~ £17
